Job Heemskerk

Since September 2024, Job has been working as a Paralegal at Van Traa Advocaten within the Aviation section. Although his previous experience lies mainly in the maritime sector, he has consciously chosen to focus on a new sector within Van Traa. Nevertheless, his interest in the maritime world remains, especially given Van Traa's strong involvement in this sector.

Job grew up in The Hague and moved to Rotterdam to study International Business & Management at the Hogeschool Rotterdam. He soon discovered that his interest lay more in law, which made him switch to the HBO-Rechten programme at Hogeschool Leiden. During this course, he did internships at ARAG in the field of construction and tenancy law and at a maritime law firm in Amsterdam, where he gained experience in contract law.

Besides his internships, he further developed his skills at the Legal Aid Foundation in Rotterdam and in various legal positions. He wrote his thesis on non-conformity within the boat industry, a subject that fits well with Van Traa's expertise. At Van Traa, he looks forward to delving further into aviation.
